I have known Jim and Cathy for nearly ten years and consider them close friends. I have been on 3 big game hunts with them and have found each to be extremely rewarding. Jimmy works harder than any outfitter I have ever hunted with and he is a "true" Alaskan guide in every sense of the word. I have been very fortunate to experience some of the most beautiful country in the world with both Jim and Cathy. Not to mention the Trophies we have taken.
My Dall sheep hunt was very memorable, we hunted hard up and down numerous mountain peaks right up to the next to last day when we were rewarded with a Beautiful Dall Sheep. Upon inspection with Alaska fish and game we were surprised to learn that our sheep was in fact one of the oldest they had ever registered (13 years old)
The trophy of my life was taken in 2008 with Hodges outfitters as I was blessed with a 9 foot plus Alaska Brown Bear (again on the next to last day) The hunting gods where not on our side as we experienced very difficult weather but Jimmy kept everyone’s spirit high and we pushed forward for 13 days and were rewarded for our efforts. You can't imagine the look on people’s faces when they enter our home and see a 9 foot plus Brown Bear staring them in the eye.
I hold Jimmy and Cathy in very high regard and feel very honored to have them as friends and hunting partners. They are the salt of the earth not to mention how much my children and wife enjoy their company as well. If you are seriously looking into an Alaskan big game hunt, look no further Hodges outfitters is the best you can get. Next up is our 2012 Moose Hunt CAN'T WAIT.
